Unlike other coatings, Microlux is exceptionally durable and resistant to cracking. Its properties remain intact over time, making it a long-lasting solution. MicroLux microcement withstands heavy traffic, impacts, scratches, and sunlight, among other challenges, ensuring its resilience and longevity.
MicroLux is waterproof and durable, but it needs to be applied correctly to achieve its complete waterproofing properties. The MicroLux microcement is applied in several layers, with the addition of a sealant, to achieve that it is fully waterproof and sealed.
Our MicroLux Microcement uses advanced German technology and formulations, ensuring exceptional performance, durability, and quality.
The product is manufactured in state-of-the-art facilities in China that follow strict German quality standards.
This is very similar to how Apple designs its products in California but manufactures them in China, or how Samsung develops technology in Korea but produces many components in China.
Manufacturing in China allows us to keep prices competitive while still delivering a product that meets rigorous European standards.
With MicroLux, you’re getting German engineering precision with efficient, high-quality production, resulting in a premium product at excellent value.
MicroLux is a more cost-effective and affordable option compared to tiles. Additionally, the installation costs for Microlux microcement are significantly lower than those for tiles, making it an economical choice for both material and installation expenses.
MicroLux can be used both as exterior flooring and interior flooring in any room. Among its many qualities, its capacity to be waterproof to running water and anti-slip and its excellent resistance to heat, traffic and stains make this covering an ideal material, especially for kitchens and bathrooms.
MicroLux is perfect for wet areas such as showers and kitchens when applied over a waterproofing membrane. It is stain and crack-resistant, low maintenance, hypoallergenic, and contains zero VOCs, making it a safe and durable choice for any space.
Yes! MicroLux is made from environmentally friendly materials, with low VOC emissions, making it safe for both you and the environment.
✅ Over Existing Tiles:
Tiles must be structurally sound (no hollow sounds when tapped).
Embossed or heavily textured tiles may require self-leveling before application.
✅ Over Self-Leveling Cement:
Only on properly cured self-leveled screeds — at least 28 days old to prevent hairline cracks.
Not suitable over hand-smoothed screeds (these can crack and cause failures).
✔ Clean & Dry Site:
All dust, debris, oil, adhesives, and paint residue must be removed.
✔ Neat Wall-to-Floor Edges:
Damages from hacking or skirting removal must be patched/sealed before we start.
✔ Completed Carpentry:
All built-in furniture must be fully installed before coating.
Areas covered by cabinetry cannot be coated afterward.
✔ Major Painting Completed:
All wall and ceiling paintwork must be finished and dried before microcement works.
Paint splatters on textured microcement are nearly impossible to remove.
✔ Ceiling Lights Installed:
Overhead lighting installations should be completed first to avoid floor damage during later works.
✔ Doors Installed with Clearance:
Doors must have at least 3mm clearance to accommodate the microcement layer.
🚫 The worksite must remain strictly off-limits throughout the application and sealing process.
🚫 Do not use ladders with damaged or unprotected legs — they can dent or scratch the fresh coating.
🚫 Avoid moving trolleys, carts, or any heavy objects across the surface for at least 28 days after application.
✅ Our team will notify you when it’s safe to re-enter or resume other works on-site.
⏳ Light foot traffic: Safe after 48–72 hours — always check with our team for confirmation.
⏳ Full cure: Achieved in 28 days, which allows the microcement to reach maximum hardness and durability.
✅ A protective sealer is applied at the final stage — avoid using harsh chemicals until fully cured.
🧼 Use pH-neutral cleaners only — strong acids, bleach, or abrasive cleaners can damage the sealer and microcement surface.
🔄 Reseal high-traffic areas every 2–3 years to maintain optimal durability and resistance.
🚫 Avoid dragging heavy or sharp objects across the floor to prevent scratches.
Neutral soap is the best product for cleaning MicroLux Microcement. When diluted in water, you can use it to scrub MicroLux Microcement floors or wipe walls and Microlux Microcement basins with a damp cloth. This method not only effectively cleans the surface but also helps maintain the quality and condition of the MicroLux Microcement.
MicroLux Microcement is an anti-slip, mold-resistant, and fully waterproof material that creates a stylish, polished concrete-like finish. Unlike traditional poured concrete, Microlux Microcement can be applied to a wide range of surfaces.
MicroLux Microcement cannot be directly applied over wood. While MicroLux Microcement and wood can coexist beautifully, their significant differences in hardness, color, and texture make direct application impractical. However, when used together in design, they can create an exquisitely stylish atmosphere.
The application process of MicroLux MicroCement involves 10 layers, consisting of primers, undercoats, finishing coats, a sealing agent, and top coats.
The warranty for MicroLux Microcement is 5 years, covering waterproofing and crack resistance.
Yes! MicroLux can be applied over tiles, concrete, wood, and even plaster, as long as the surface is clean, stable and properly primed.

Yes, MicroLux is safe for food preparation surfaces like countertops when properly sealed. Once the microcement is fully cured and coated with our food-safe, non-toxic sealers, it creates a non-porous, hygienic surface that resists stains, moisture, and bacterial growth. This makes it an excellent choice for kitchens and other food prep areas.
